This weekend prepare yourself for the return of The Crazies. The original film was directed by George A. Romero and debuted in theaters in 1973. Over 30 years later, Breck Eisner is attempting to bring the tale to a new generation of fans with the help of Timothy Olyphant, Radha Mitchell, and Danielle Panabaker. A new featurette has been released and it shows all the pandemonium that’s been generated by this oldie but goodie horror classic.
The Crazies takes place in a small Iowa town where the sheriff and his doctor wife are forced to fight for their lives when a disease overtakes the population. Shortly after the first people are infected, the military is sent in to kill everyone in sight and the couple must decide to either leave their home or stay in town and die.
In this latest video we get to see interviews from Eisner and co-stars Mitchell and Panabaker. They all discuss the new vision of the film and the real sense of horror they tried to create for the audience. We also get to see a few superfans who are more than a little excited about the movie’s release.
