Movie Releases: Cop Out, The Crazies, Defendor, A Prophet
By Anet Hovhanesian
Whether you want to laugh, cry, or get scared, the movie industry has something for you this week. You have an R-rated comedy about two cops who pair up with a memorabilia-obsessed gangster to find a stolen baseball card in Kevin Smith’s Cop Out which stars Bruce Willis and funnyman Tracy Morgan. Then there’s the indie dramedy about a non-superhero who doesn’t have any powers, just courage in the Peter Stebbings film, Defendor starring Woody Harrelson.
The film that should catch your eye this week is The Yellow Handkerchief with Twilight‘s Kristen Stewart and William Hurt. It’s a story of two lonely teenagers who pick up a strange man during a road trip. The unlikely trio sets out with each person unsure of their destination but lessons are learned along the way as they open up about life and love.
