Move over Eddie Cibrian, former “CSI: Miami” regular Adam Rodriguez is heading home. The prodigal son of the popular procedural drama has been M.I.A as of late, appearing in several projects on the big screen and according to Zap2It, the actor is ready to return full time to his role as Eric Delko.

Delko has popped up in a few episodes this season, but for the most part he’s been out of the picture. Rodriguez just broke the news via his Twitter, that he will be back on the show in the near future. He wrote, “I have some news that I hope will make ‘CSI:Miami’ fans happy. Eric Delko will be back to the show full time 4 all of season 9!!!” After his big announcement, CBS confirmed that the news was true, so it’s really happening!

Rodriguez has appeared in a few episodes of “CSI: Miami” this season with the most recent being on February 1st. He’s done some work on other shows including ABC’s “Ugly Betty,” but since the series has been canceled his schedule has opened up again. Delko has been in and out of the Miami fold, and before his ninth season return he’s scheduled to appear during this year’s March 1st episode entitled, “LA.”

Welcome back, Adam!
