The first trailer has been released for the Forgetting Sarah Marshall spin-off Get Him To The Greek starring Russell Brand. If you thought Aldous Snow was too much to take as a supporting character, do you think you’ll be able to handle him as the lead? The film features Jonah Hill, who was also in Sarah Marshall, but he doesn’t play the same character. Take a look at the trailer…

Get Him to The Greek has a screenplay co-written by Nicholas Stoller, who also directs the film. It centers on a young and ambitious intern (Hill) who’s given the responsibility of babysitting the out of control rock star, Aldous Snow (Brand). His job is to pick him up and transport him to the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles so he can perform and kick-off the first of many concerts in a multi-million dollar tour.

The trailer starts off promising with cameos from two of my favorite comedians, Aziz Ansari and Nick Kroll. They’re shown as one of the many people taking part in a record label meeting being led by Sean “Diddy” Combs, who appears to be playing a more outlandish version of himself (who knew that was possible?). The film doesn’t look slap-my-knee hilarious, but I’m still willing to give it a chance because of the people involved. Meridith Vieira even makes a cameo in the film.
