The first trailer for the Ashton Kutcher, Katherine Heigl action comedy Killers has been released over at Yahoo, and it’s deadly. It’s deadly in the worst possible way. Not only does the premise look ridiculous, but we’re supposed to accept Ms. Heigl in the same role she’s been playing for the past few years. The trailer looks like a younger version of the Tom Cruise flick, Knight and Day, except worse. Take a look…

Killers centers on a recently single woman who meets the man of her dreams while on vacation with her parents. She eventually begins to date they guy and they fall in love, the only problem is he has a shady occupation that involves bullets flying ever so often. Her idyllic life turns to shambles once she and her new boyfriend realize their neighbors have been contracted to kill them. Besides Kutcher and Heigl, the cast includes Tom Selleck and Catherine O’Hara as Heigl’s parents.

After watching this trailer, there’s no doubt in my mind that I won’t see it in theaters. It’s not funny, and the action looks like a mild rip off from Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Once again we’re watching Katherine Heigl in a role that features her playing a lonely, yet professional woman who falls in love with the wrong type of guy. This whole bashing of women with careers is really getting old Hollywood. And is it just me or is it really hard not to mistake this trailer for a Lacoste ad?

Here’s the trailer…
