Prince of Persia Super Bowl TV Spot

The second major Super Bowl movie spot to air besides Alice in Wonderland, was for the Disney blockbuster, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. The film is based on the popular video game of the same name, and is scheduled to hit theaters this summer. The studio has already released a domestic and international trailer for the movie, so let’s see if the TV spot is any different…
Like most of the ads that were shown during the game, movie related or otherwise, Prince of Persia was a let down. It showed about two seconds of new footage and it was cut so quickly that you couldn’t get a good look at it. The ad is a shorter version of the international trailer that once again features Jake Gyllenhaal and his British accent.
The film centers on Prince Dastan, who reluctantly joins forces with the mysterious Tiana to race against dark forces and safeguard an ancient dagger capable of releasing the Sands of Time—a gift from the gods that can reverse time and allow its possessor to rule the world. The film is directed by Mike Newell, and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. It will debut in theaters on May 28, 2010.
