We’ve been hearing rumors for a while that Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo would reunite as the accident prone Griswolds for another Family Vacation project, and we’ve found it. The duo will be featured this Sunday during the Super Bowl in a TV spot for the website HomeAway.com, and it features the return of not only our favorite parents, but one of their kids! Here’s a preview of what you can expect…

The trailer is really short, about 27 seconds max and it shows Clark and Ellen on the road singing songs as they arrive at a nice beachfront home. It turns out they’re visiting their son Rusty, but we never see his face. All we get is the back of his head and Chase shouting, “Rusty!” It’s so fun to see Beverly and Chevy together again in such a fun setting. If you watch HBO’s “Entourage“, you know that D’Angelo has had a recurring role on the series as Barbara Miller, one of Ari Gold’s least favorite people.

Since this video is only a teaser we might get to see Rusty in the full version, and maybe Anthony Michael Hall will pop up in it? Hall recently did a guest spot on Chase’s show “Community” so you never know what might happen. I’m excited to see the whole thing, are you?

Who by now hasn't seen Chase's quest to get his fam from Chicago to LA in just a weeks time to enjoy some amusement park fun? The encounters along the way are now classic, some to look for: Chase delirious in the desert, the station wagon launched into the air, the visit to Cousin Eddie's (a perfectly slobby Quaid) and the chick in the red ferrari. Maybe writer John Hughes driest script, with dead dogs and dead aunts tied various places, picnic baskets wet with the grossest of liquids, and a great foul mouthed response from Chase to his whiny family.
