You can make all the arguments about who is hot at the box office right now for VF's cover choice (and I read and enjoy it myself), but sadly, considering that recent cover subjects have been Grace Kelly, Marilyn Monroe and Jackie Onasis, the conclusion could be drawn sadly that if you are a dead (or close to it, as last month's Liz Taylor cover might also argue) white woman you have a better chance of making Vanity Fair's cover than a live minority one.

[...] too fancy (all of the attention went to Carey Mulligan and Gabourey Sidibe). Cornish also made the controversial cover of Vanity Fair’s 2010 Hollywood Issue, so it’s safe to say that she’s going places. Good for her! What do you think of [...]

I am sick of people making race and color always an issue. There is a BLACK GRAMMY and BLACK magazine, like Ebony to name one, and black this and black that...if there was ever a WHITE magazine there would be someone screaming discrimination.....THE TRUTH IS THERE IS A DOUBLE STANDARD IN THIS COUNTRY. And that is the truth. I am not white, I am a minority as well, but I just see that a certain group of people just like to make stuff up and always make their color an issue when it should not. Putting the blame on everyone who is not the same race or color as them as persecuting them or for the atrocities done to their ancestors....MOVE ON..... will all of you please ......

Ebony was created for African Americans when main stream media REFUSED to show them in any of their publications. Secondly, Vanity Fair is supposed to be a major magazine that's marketed to all readers no matter race or creed, and this issue continues to come up because there are several young actresses who aren't Caucasian and aren't featured here. That's the real problem.

The question is why couldn't they be shown? So yeah, it's still an issue and not only because of color but because of the fact that several of these girls have appeared in this "special edition" years prior (Stewart, Seyfried) meaning they got lazy and those spots could have gone to someone else.

I don't see or hear anyone complaining that Ebony has no diversity. This is all ridiculous. These are up and coming actresses. Can anyone deny this? Vanity Fair has included all cultures many times on their cover. Stop complaining because on this cover they don't have more than one race represented. Many times they only have 1 person on the cover. When President and Mrs. Obama are on a cover, does anyone complain there isn't a white president represented...this is all too stupid, and frivolous. There are many more issues you should be expending your print and your time on. Use your brain.

Sorry but I do not see Evan Rachel Wood at all not that she's a fresh face. The girl they say is evan looks nothing like her. And I would have like to see more newcomers

Maybe it's b/c you're a film buff and have seen these girls rise to become the stars they are now but for most of America many of them have just come into main stream.

Almost all of them have been working for a while but most actors work several years before making it big. So i don't think you need to knock Kristen or ERW b/c they are featured now.
