“Desperate Housewives” has never been on my radar, but the show is trying to pull in the sci-fi fans with the latest edition to their cast. According to EW, “Torchwood” alum John Barrowman has signed on to do a multiple episode arc on the series. How the hell did they manage to pull that off? Who’s ready to see Captain Jack take a trip down Wisteria Lane?
According to their sources, Barrowman will come on board for five episodes of the hit ABC series. “The actor will play the Big Bad at the center of the Angie (Drea de Matteo) mystery.” That doesn’t sound like a good place to be, because from what I’ve heard the Angie storyline is already filled with too much smoke and mirrors. It turns out that “Housewives” creator Marc Cherry has been trying to get Barrowman on the show for months, but had to create the perfect role for him to play.
His arc is expected to begin in April, which means it will conveniently lead into May sweeps. What do they have in store for the Captain? It’s going to be weird seeing someone from the “Torchwood” world interact with the characters on “Desperate Housewives.” They’re a strange bunch, even by sci-fi standards.
Are you going to tune in to watch Barrowman on Desperate Housewives?
