Jennifer Lopez has made it her business to appear on every successful TV show that’s on the air right now. First, news broke after the Golden Globes that the producers of the Fox series Glee sent out an invitation for the actress to film a guest spot, and now we’re hearing that CBS’ “How I Met Your Mother” wants to get in on the action too.
Today CBS announced that Lopez would appear on an upcoming episode of their popular comedy in March. The character she plays is Anita Appleby, whose profession of choice is self-help. The guru will make it her mission to break Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) after she discovers his womanizing ways. Her method on keeping men in check is through pure denial. The real question is, will she succeed or become another notch on Barney’s ever growing belt?
Here’s what “How I Met Your Mother’s” executive producer and co-creator Carter Bays had to say about Lopez’ stint.
“We couldn’t be more excited about Jennifer Lopez joining us on “How I Met Your Mother.” We’re looking forward to a week of revealing outfits and sexy dance moves the likes of which this show hasn’t seen since Regis Philbin guest starred.”
“How I Met Your Mother” continues to keep the guest stars in open rotation, and something tells me Lopez won’t be the last to hit the small screen with the cast.
What do you think about Lopez making an appearance on the show? Do you think she can go head to head with Harris?
