The “Hope For Haiti” telethon airs tonight and will be filled with musical performances and appearances by today’s biggest stars to raise money and awareness for the country. The telethon will air on multiple broadcast and cable networks and will be hosted by George Clooney in Los Angeles, with correspondence from Wyclef Jean in New York. And CNN’s very own Anderson Cooper will be reporting live via satellite from the country itself. The program will air on the following stations…

“Hope for Haiti” will be broadcast live on ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, CNN, BET, The CW, HBO, MTV, VH1, and CMT on Friday, January 22, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT and 7:00 p.m. CT.  It will also air on newly added networks including PBS, TNT, Showtime, COMEDY CENTRAL, Bravo, E! Entertainment, National Geographic Channel, Oxygen, G4, CENTRIC, Current TV, Fuse, MLB Network, EPIX, Palladia, SoapNet, Style, Discovery Health, Planet Green, and several Canadian networks including CBC Television, CTV, Global Television, and MuchMusic.

Several major charity organizations have joined forces for the “Hope for Haiti” event including Oxfam America, Partners in Health, the Red Cross, UNICEF, and Jean’s very on Yele Haiti Foundation. In support of the telethon and in order to get viewers to make donations, some of the world’s most talented musicians will take to the stage to perform songs of hope and inspiration.
