I just got back from a press conference with Robert Redford and John Cooper which we’ll have video clips, photos, and a full audio recording from soon, but the most amazing part happened directly after the press conference. As we were getting up to leave, I heard someone saying that they wanted “Roger” to get a picture with “Robert”. I looked around and a crowd had gathered around where I was standing and I realized that Roger Ebert was sitting directly behind me and that Robert Redford had just walked through the audience to say hello to him. I quite literally could not have exited if I wanted to because I was so crammed next to the two film legions.

I’m sure you’ll see my surprised face on many professional photos that will soon be released because people were clicking away, but as everyone else was shooting their pictures, I was trying to be respectful and shoot any myself. That was until Redford looked at me and nodded that it was okay and so I took a picture on my iPhone and he smiled.

Redford was extremely respectful and said that he was honored to have Ebert at the festival and asked him if there was anything he looked forward to seeing. Ebert shock his head yes and gave him a big thumbs up. It was quite a beautiful moment. Check out the photo I got below…
