They do have the largest disposable income in the country that's why the majority of films are marketed towards them. That's why so many movies try to keep the ratings down to PG-13 because they want to access that market. That's why you have movies like Twilight making so much money because on the weekends the majority of kids are the ones going to theaters supporting these projects. And even though we're in a recession, 2009 earned the biggest box office off all time with over 10 billion dollars. You're right, every little bit does help, and if there are some fickle girls out there willing to donate because "Edward" said so who cares. At least that money is going to save someone's life. It's not about boosting your image necessarily, it's about using whatever influence you have to help someone else.
