One of Hollywood’s favorite seasoned actors, Jeff Bridges, snags the award for Best Actor in a Drama for his role in Crazy Heart. Performing along side Maggie Gyllenhaal, Robert Duvall, and Colin Farrell – this ensemble of artists compiled with T Bone Brunett’s unbelievable score makes this heart-warming tale of redemption a primary candidate for Best Picture this season.

Bridges earned his standing ovation. With a career spanning four decades earning him four Academy Award nominations, this vet finally scored a statue. The competition was fierce  - but despite the massive Clooney speculation, Bridges was indisputably the man of the evening. Generally the Golden Globe winners go on to win the Oscar, and the career clock is definitely ticking – has Bridges finally paid his dues?
