Cameron doesn't suck. He's box office platinum. That is the business of Hollywood: Making money with entertaining movies. Yes a majority do suck, but a film as succesful as Avatar pays for them. So you're point of view is way off there.

You're right on about good film makers and great movies. However no director makes a great movie every time. Not even Speilberg.

Cameron would be great on Spidy, but he has no reason to do the reboot now. He doesnt have to make a movie for another 10 years thanks to the success of Avatar.

They should've just continued. But Sony wants to make manoey and they don't care about vision as Raimi has. After The Dark Knight and the $$$ it made that's all they want to do to comic book to movies. The suits need to see that there is a big difference between Batman and Spiderman. A VERY BIG DIFFERENCE.

spider-man has always been an up beat, fun and sarcastic superhero. go back to the old animated series from the 1960's and use those as inspiration.

Spider-man should be fun! Watch the Spectacular Spider-man animated series. It's lots of fun. Good humor. They do more right with Spider-man in 22 minutes than Raimi did in three movies.

Good point. Even though Spidey had his dark moments his character was never intended to be Batman. That's the route I think the studios are going with this. It's sad because that's not in everyone's comic book DNA. It's the Dark Knight effect.
