Official The A-Team Trailer

Last week, there was a breach in the 20th Century Fox camp when the first trailer for The A-Team was leaked onto the internet for the whole world to see. Unlike most people I couldn’t watch it unless it was in the best, high quality conditions. It just didn’t seem right staring at Bradley Cooper’s abs without the help of HD technology. The official trailer for the film has finally been released, and after watching it a few times, I’m glad I waited…
The A-Team is a big screen adaptation of the popular 1980’s TV show that centered on a group of falsely accused military men forced to live underground. The characters are Lt. Templeton ‘Faceman’ Peck, Col. John ‘Hannibal’ Smith, Capt. ‘Howling Mad’ Murdock, and Sgt. Bosco ‘B.A.’ Baracus. If you grew up with the show when it was on or through reruns, those names should send a chill down your spine. In the film Cooper, Liam Neeson, Sharlto Copley, and Quinton Rampage Jackson take on the notable roles, and they try to do it in style.
The A-Team is directed by Joe Carnahan, and the trailer seems to take several cues from the original series. The only thing that gets under my skin is the narrator who claims that the men are “soldiers for hire” as opposed to “soldiers of fortune.” It’s a fanboy nitpick, but I had to throw it out there.
Here’s the first A-Team trailer…
Don’t you love it when a plan comes together?
What do you think of the first trailer for The A-Team?

they need to stop turning awesome 80s shows into movies that suck. Gi Joe? Awesome show, stupid movie. Could have done so much with that. Miami Vice. Awesome show, stupid movie. Transformers? Yes she was hot, but the humans were not really that important in the cartoon. There was so much there they lost. A-Team. Probably one of the awesomest shows ever (most rad for 80s folks). More people die in this trailer than died in all the TV shows combined. Stupid. Of course I'll watch it to give it a try, but… RIP George Peppard.

The highest form of compliment is immitaion. If the actors were fans long ago, we will see it in the supporting actors roles. Maybe they earn awards at best, but only if people vote. I was a big fan, drew the characters as a child and yes immitated the show with other kids playing outside or indoors. For crying outloud lets read the critics but remember this is a new cast, they are working to follow the story line not IMPERSONATE the original actors! Doesnt anyone remember what its like to read a book centeries old? Even books get revised….
