Here’s some sad news to report. Michael C. Hall, star of the popular Showtime series “Dexter” has been dealing with a serious personal problem. It’s been revealed that the actor has been battling a form of cancer over an unspecified amount of time, according to MSNBC. A statement was released on Wednesday from Hall’s camp regarding his treatment, the type of cancer he’s been up against, and what his condition is today.

According to the statement Hall has been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Apparently, the actor has been in treatment for a while, and is currently in remission. Hall wanted to give thanks to all the doctors and nurses who have helped him on his road to recovery. The name of the Los Angeles area health facility where he has undergone treatment was not released.

Even though this is an unfortunate situation to be in, Hall can successfully beat this disease. Another actor who was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s and successfully overcame it was Barry Watson from “Samantha Who?” and “7th Heaven.” Several years ago he went through a very public battle with it, and we all saw his highs and lows, but with the proper treatment he went into remission and is thankfully still with us today.

Let’s all send out some positive vibes in the direction of the talented Mr. Hall.
