It’s one of the fastest grossing films of all time, and according to the latest numbers after only 13 days it will be the second largest movie of 2009. The Weinstein Company has been at the center of a heated debate over their latest release, Nine. The film recently received several Golden Globe nominations including Best Musical/Comedy and Best Actor for Daniel Day Lewis, but it’s left general audiences cold. The film opened in limited release on December 18th and wide on Christmas Day to little fanfare. Rumors began circulating that the Weinsteins might pull the movie out of theaters due to the public’s lack of interest, but according to the studio that’s not the case.

Wow, time flies when you’re having fun! Looking back over 2009 there were a number of great films (check out our Top 15) and amazing cinematic moments that you’ll want to remember for the rest of your lives such as Guy Pearce running from a bomb explosion and Eli Roth murdering Hitler several times over. Of course there are a few moments you wish you could forget (like in Antichrist, it still hurts me to think about that scene), but for the most part, the good out weighed the bad.

Luckily for those of us with goldfish memories who might have forgotten some of their favorite moments of the ear,  YouTuber, Kees van Dijkhuizen decided to cut together one easy to watch montage of the films of 2009, with everything from big blockbusters like Star Trek and Wolverine to the smaller films like Crazy Heart and Nine.
