Brittany Murphy Dead at 32

Brittany Murphy, the 32 year old actress best known for her roles in Clueless and 8 Mile has died. TMZ was one of the first to report the unexpected death of Murphy, which occurred earlier today. At the moment the cause has been cited as cardiac arrest and the story is still developing…

According to the site, Murphy went into full cardiac arrest this morning and couldn’t be revived. A 911 call was made at 8:00 this morning from the house owned by her husband Simon Monjack. A couple of hours later, the actress was pronounced dead on arrival at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. The official time of death was listed as 10:04 AM.

Murphy was discovered by her mother unconscious on the shower floor, and quickly called the ambulance. When the emergency technicians arrived they realized that she suffered a full on heart attack and began to administer CPR. Unfortunately, they were too late and she couldn’t be resuscitated.
