tron poster

A new Tron Legacy image has been released and it’s of the ultra sleek light cycle. Disney previously released a screencap from the film as well as the first official poster and now we’ve got a picture of Tron’s new ride. The photo looks like it’s straight out of the future, which is great because isn’t that what the world of Tron is all about?

Tron Legacy is following in the footsteps of its predecessor by offering us an amazing 3-D adventure with lots of action. The first film came out in 1982 and starred Jeff Bridges as Kevin Flynn, a man who learned the power of Tron the hard way. Tron Legacy will take place over two decades later, and center on Flynn’s son Sam (Garrett Hedlund) who’s just as tech savvy as his father.

It turns out that Kevin has been living in the world of Tron for the past 25 years, and Sam wants to find and release him. Aided by his trusted friend Quorra (Olivia Wilde), the duo embark on a life-and-death journey to escape the cyber universe that has become far more advanced and dangerous since the last time we saw it.

The more images they release from the film the more excited I get. Tron Legacy will hit theaters one year to this day on December 17, 2010.
