Oh snap! It looks like Lionsgate wants to save the best for last with their promotion of Kick-Ass. They’ve already released two one sheets for the Matthew Vaughn film, which centered on the characters Kick-Ass and Red Mist. This time around we’ve got a look at Big Daddy aka Nicolas Cage, as well as, an new clip from the movie!
Following in the footsteps of its predecessors, Big Daddy’s poster also has a snarky tagline that reads, “I Can’t Be Invisible. But I Can Kick Your Ass.” His character is a former police officer who decides to take justice into his own hands with the aid of his young daughter, Hit Girl. In the film she’s played by Chloe Moretz and participates in a lot of graphic action scenes. The following clip features her and Cage in the middle of a typical training day.
The comic from which the film is based was created by Mark Millar, as in the guy behind the 2008 hit, Wanted. This film includes the same kind of R rated violence, but with “children.” Does that sound as bad as I think it does? Kick-Ass hits theaters on April 16, 2010.
Here’s the poster and the movie clip featuring Big Daddy and Hit Girl.
