2009 Los Angeles Film Critics Association Winners

Sunday has been a big day for The Hurt Locker as it was honored by the Los Angeles Film Critics Association for Best Picture of the year. This is a very important award for Locker as the LAFCA has a 95% hit rate with its winners earning Best Picture Oscar nominations.
Other big winners included Jeff Bridges for Crazy Heart and Mo’Nique and Anna Kendrick secured their positions as the winner and runner-up for Best Supporting Actress. In The Loop got some love as it finished second for Best Screenplay and its angry politician, Peter Capaldi also finished second to Christoph Waltz for Best Supporting Actor.

Best Animated Film:
Winner: Fantastic Mr. Fox

Best Foreign Language Film:
Winner: The Summer Hours
