Washington DC Film Critics Awards – Nominees and Winners

Today the first regional critics group of the season weighed in with their top picks of the year. Following in the footsteps of the National Board of Review, the DC writers also named Up in the Air the best film of 2009. Other films that earned serious praise included Precious, Inglorious Basterds, and The Hurt Locker, which are all in the running to snag one of the ten slots for this year’s Best Picture Oscar.
