Percy Jackson and the Olympians Extended Trailer
An new extended trailer has been released for the upcoming film, Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief. It starts off fairly similar to the previous one, but unlike its predecessor we actually get to see more of the gods! Sean Bean makes an appearance as Zeus, and Kevin McKidd shows up as Poseidon the god of the sea and Percy’s father.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians will be following in the footsteps of the Harry Potter franchise in more ways than one. The film is also based on a series of books that center on a young boy and his friends as they encounter mystical elements on their multiple journeys. Percy is a half human, half god who uncovers his powers with the help of several unlikely allies, and the biggest coincidence of all is that The Lightning Thief is produced by the same people who adapted Potter.
In the new trailer they finally show Percy interacting with the gods and his human mother, as played by Catherine Keener. As a fan of Greek mythology, this film looks like it’s going to be an entertaining adaptation of their history. When watching the video look out for a half horse, half human Pierce Brosnan, and Uma Thurman as the sneaky Medusa.

ummm ok first of all the gods are dissapointing. zeus looks old! in the books the gods have no flaws and they seem to glow with radiance. here, they look like… us. and isnt medusa supposed to be hideous? its uma thurman with a snake wig! dissapointing man…

doesnt annabeth have blond hair(though i prefer brown),and grover wears a cap to hide his horns and isnt black,percy’s pen is a cap and uncap pen, they travel all over the country why are they only showing NY,Chiron is a white horse part (though I do prefer brown),and Percy is 12 why does he look like……..14, there was(im pretty sure) absolutely no dragons until book three,when they fought medusa they were not in the woods,and lastly they did not do that swimming pool scene

This Movie is going to be okay… I doubt it will reach the standards of the books/series… I already found a couple things wrong… Riptide is uncapped… Annabeth is suppose to be a blonde… The shield is in the second book given by Tyson, so I don't know how that's going to play out… Percy is suppose to be looking 12… There was no pool thing in the book when I read it… And I think they fought Medusa in her stone garden… I have a lot more to say… But I think I'll stop maybe they'll change it kinda to follow more of the book…

I think speaking as one of the biggest fans of the series is that…… that this movie is going to be amazing!!!!!!! Of course there going to change a lot well that's because it's a movie you just can't put the whole book into a movie, it would take a long time. some bad things but come on guys if we were truly fans we wouldn't argue we would have to say it's okay. Right?

This moive is going to be amazing. the books were awesome and the trailier only looks wrong because they put things in the wrong order but percy's shield doesnt come in till the second book sea of monsters. And annabeth is ok i think she looks better as a brunete

There are a few things out of order here. 1. Annabeth is blond with gray eyes. 2. The pen seems fair. 3. They probably do show the different parts of the country. 4. Percy does look old. Actually there is a dragon in part one. He guards the pomegranite in the fields of Asphodel and they definitely do not have a swimming pool scene.

I am a BIG fan of the PJ&O Series, it's my secound all-time favourite book which really says a lot as I can read a book a day. The movie looks cool but I didn't like the changes they made like Annabeth has curly blond hair, stormy grey eyes, a yankees cap and carries a small dagger NOT a sword; Percy's eyes are GREEN( I know, you can't even see his eyes properly but Percy's eyes are one of the many things that make him fabulous…but Logan isn't so bad himself, a girl can dream), Grover is supposed toi have goat horns and furry goat legs, were a rasta cap and fake shoes to stop the Mortals from seeing his as he is, the kids in the movie are supposed to be like 12 and half the stuff in the trailer DID NOT HAPPEN IN THE LIGHTNING THIEF and I'd rather they make Annabeth and Percy get together in the last movie instead of just rushing into their relationship. I do like a good romantic tension build-up. I'm still going to see the film though, no matter how many changes they make it's Percy Jackson related so I am SO there.

Annabeth used to be my first or second fav charecter next to Percy. Now she's my least favorite!!!!! What now! She's supposed to have blonde hair and gray eyes! Percy is supposed to have black hair and green eyes!!!!!! Hey,I'm not saying the movie doesn't look cool. I'm sleeping outside the theater to be the first person to see it I've benn counting the days down, but I'm just that big of a fan I take Little details seriously.

it really bothers me how much they changed. i was shocked when i found out annabeth was going to be burnette. what do they have against blonds? they to wimpy to be as brave as annabeth? she was going to give an amazing name to blondes everywhere!!!
