VOTD: James Cameron’s Addicted to Special Effects

James Cameron is one of the most talented film directors of the past 30 years, and there’s no denying that he’s good at what he does. With that in mind, someone decided to expose his one movie weakness…special effects. Now that Avatar is only a few weeks away the publicity for the film has hit an all time high, which means the parodies can’t be far behind.

The people over at LandLine TV are behind this satire that pokes fun at the Oscar winning director’s “little problem.” Some people have issues with drugs, alcohol, or even food, but this guy needs the magical stuff. He needs digital animation, he needs the effects! He’s one of my all time favorite filmmakers and even I had a hard time keeping a straight face while watching this video.
Cameron is reduced to a jittery, addict who stands on local street corners hoping to score what he calls “effects.” He attempts to sell his wife’s pearls for a green screen, and even results to offering sexual favors for his drug of choice.
