The first photo from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I has been released. It looks like Harry and company are full fledged adults so it’s about time the franchise winded down. Over at USA Today, they’ve posted the first photo and got some exclusive info from co-star, Rupert Grint and director David Yates.
In the seventh Potter film, the trio of young wizards will find their epic journey coming to an end. Harry, Hermione, and Ron will be struggling to find their way in the Muggle (human) world, with their own lives in the balance and the fate of the magical realm in their hands. According to Yates, the first installment of the finale will be based more in reality than the previous films.
“It’s going to feel very real,” Yates says. “We’re going for a vérité approach. Being away from Hogwarts, they’re like these three refugees on the run. They’re out in the big bad world, facing real danger, unguarded by those wonderful benign wizards at Hogwarts. They don’t have a home to go to. We’re kind of pulling away from the magic a bit and bringing more reality to it.”
Speaking of reality, the film will actually take note of the characters age, by having Grint and Daniel Radcliffe sport some facial hair. Grint stated, “Me and Dan actually have some stubble.”
Sounds exciting, check out the photo…
