Zack Snyder’s Guardians of Ga’hoole Cast Revealed

The voice cast for Zack Snyder’s upcoming 3D animated feature, Guardians of Ga’hoole has been announced and according to THR, several notable actors have signed on to lend their voices to the film, including a couple of Academy Award winners and a Beatles fanatic.
This Village Roadshow film will have Sam Neill, Geoffrey Rush, Hugo Weaving and David Wenham topline the voice cast, but the supporting players are nothing to sneeze at. The big-budget fantasy will also feature the talents of Aussie actors Emily Barclay, Abbie Cornish, Emilie de Ravin, Ryan Kwanten and Jay Laga’aia, as well as English thespians Miriam Margolyes, Helen Mirren and Jim Sturgess.
The film follows Soren, a young owl enthralled by his father’s epic stories of the Guardians of Ga’Hoole, a mythic band of winged warriors who had fought a great battle to save all of owl kind from the evil Pure Ones.
This is a far cry from Snyder’s Watchmen, 300, or even Dawn of the Dead, so let’s see where he goes with this. If you think about it, 300 was heavily based in CGI, which you could consider animation, therefore his work on this film doesn’t seem that far-fetched.
The film will hit domestic theaters on September 24th 2010.

PLEASE, consider listing Jim Sturgess first among the actors voicing the characters in Guardians of Ga'Hoole. He is playing SOREN in the film.
