Anne Hathaway in Spider-Man 4?

The casting rumors for Spider-Man 4 are starting to get out of control. Every five minutes a new actress is rumored to play the Black Cat in the sequel, first it was Rachel McAdams and then Julia Stiles. According to Nikki Finke, Oscar nominee Anne Hathaway can be added to the list, because she’s up for the part too!
The bottom line is this, a source close to Nikki states that Hathaway was approached by Spider-Man producers to take on a starring role in the film. With a franchise of this stature, no one in their right mind would offer her anything less than a female lead. Since Kirsten Dunst is (unfortunately) returning as Mary Jane Watson, and Bryce Dallas Howard’s Gwen Stacy was ruined in the last film, that only leaves Felicia Hardy aka Black Cat.
Fans have been begging for the character to pop up in one of the Spider-Man movies, but their requests have fallen on deaf ears. If this rumor is true, it would be a stark contrast to the other women who are said to be up for the role. Hathaway would have to get a blond dye job for the part and ooze sexuality. Her casting would definitely boost the credibility of the series, considering their last go around, which wasn’t so nice.
