grown ups trailer

A teaser trailer has finally been released for the ensemble comedy Grown Ups, which mostly features Saturday Night Live alumni except for one. And we’re not referring to the Will Ferrell era of SNL, we’re talking the bad boy years that featured Adam Sandler, David Spade, Chris Rock, and Rob Schneider. All of them will be on the big screen together along with Paul Blart Mall Cop, Kevin James.

Check out the trailer for Grown Ups below…

The plot of the movie centers around five school friends, Sandler, Rock, Spade, James and Schneider who reunite after 30 years to celebrate fourth of July weekend together. They try to reconnect with one another while discovering the changes they’ve all made over time.

A few of the female talents in this film include Salma Hayek and Maria Bello. Grown Ups is directed by Dennis Dugan, who had a hand in the not funny I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, which can explain the weird placement of Kevin James within this crew.

After watching this it’s hard not to wish that Chris Farley was still around to get in on some of the action. He could have easily taken James’ place, because he sticks out like a sore thumb. Grown Ups doesn’t look laugh out loud funny but it’s an opportunity for us to see if that old school SNL magic is still there.
