Isn’t this convenient? The teaser poster for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse has just been released by our friends over at BloodyDisgusting, with less than two weeks before the theatrical debut of New Moon. The third film is supposed to once again highlight the struggle between Bella, Jacob and Edward along with the drama of her pending high school graduation. What’s a girl to do?!
Check out the teaser poster for Eclipse…
The theme for Twilight was blue and gray, New Moon was all about orange and brown, and here we have red and silver. The third movie in the vampire franchise might be significantly different than the prior installments since David Slade is the director behind the camera. He did 30 Days of Night, which was a whole other kind of vampire movie. Hopefully, some of that influence rolls over onto Eclipse to save it from its diabetically sweet love story.
As Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob — knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella has one more decision to make: life or death. But which is which?
Eclipse will hit theaters on June 30, 2010 so it will be a summer release and won’t debut during November like its predecessors. Do you know who else jumped between summer and fall movie months like that? Harry Potter! The similarities are endless.
What do you think of the poster?
