Boondock Saints 2 Release Locations Expanded
By Krystal Clark
After this weekend’s ridiculously limited release of Troy Duffy‘s long awaited sequel, Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day fans were pissed! You voiced your opinions and the studio Apparition somewhat listed. You demanded it so they’ve announced that the film will be featured in several more cities across the country.
Check to see if the Saints will be shown at a theater near you…
According to an official press release, Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day will now be available in Seattle, San Francisco, San Diego, Chicago, Detroit, Dallas, Atlanta, and Houston starting November 13th. That’s eight more cities on top of the Los Angeles, New York, Boston and Philadelphia screenings that are already running. Hopefully when the list is finalized more locations will be revealed that cover the central states, because they are obviously missing here.
Even with the public outcry, the majority of the film’s fans must not live in LA or NY, because even for a limited release its box office numbers weren’t that impressive. It generated an $8,000 per screen average, which isn’t anything to write home about, so where was everybody? Perhaps after this weekend we’ll be able to see if the expanded release will help the film’s revenue.
What other cities should the movie expand to? Is your hometown represented here?

What about the rest of the country?!?!?!? That movie has got to be one of the most awaited sequels of the last decade and I'm expected to drive 4 HOURS!!! to see it at the nearest location?!?!? I'm in the Army and don't exactly have the luxury of picking where I live. Would love to see it anywhere near southern Alabama! I'm SURE it would have a large enough audience to justify it's release. C'mon people!
Wednesday, November 4, 2009 12:59AM
Midwest! Omaha, Kansas City, Des Moines
Tuesday, November 3, 2009 5:13PM
This is just BS that it is no where near north dakota! Everyone that I know is a fan of the first one & I know they would have enough fans in fargo to show it here & make a profit!
Wednesday, November 4, 2009 1:33AM
yeah, but everyone you know = 7 people
Wednesday, November 4, 2009 3:03AM
i really loved the first one and i have been waiting for the second one since i found out they were making a second one…i went out tonight to two different movie theaters to find out that it is not showing at either of them…i get home to look it up and find that they are only showing it in 4 cities!? are you kidding me!?!?!? i DEMAND for it to be in theaters everywhere…this is an outrage!
Wednesday, November 4, 2009 3:26AM
No Canadian love?
Wednesday, November 4, 2009 3:53AM
We cant even see it in New Orleans. We have a bar named after "The Boondock Saint!" I cant go buy a pack of smokes with out running into 20 people asking me where I got the Boondock Saints zip-up hoodie!
I'd have to make the long crappy drive to Houston to see the movie UGH! They better release it to DVD on quick status!
Wednesday, November 4, 2009 4:00AM
I am expected to go all the way to Atlanta, it's not showing in FL either

Wednesday, November 4, 2009 7:56AM
They made this movie based purely on DVD sales alone on the first one…. this baffles me more than anything ive ever seen in the entertainment business… if EVERYONE bought the DVD of 1…. why wouldnt EVERYONE wanna see 2? i mean who in the production business cant understand that… absolutely ridiculous… i dont care where in OHIO… but cmon at least Cbus…
Wednesday, November 4, 2009 9:18AM
yeah.. ive been waiting for this movie since the first one came out. at least they can put some showings in our neck of the woods. its infuriating. well might just have to wait til it come out on DVD My most anticipated movie of 09' by far.

Wednesday, November 4, 2009 2:25PM
I know a SL of people that are fans of the first movie here in WY. C'mon guys, bring it to Gillette ar Casper so that all fans can enjoy it on the big screen. Otherwise, release the DVD before Christmas so I can at least have it for that.
Wednesday, November 4, 2009 3:25PM
We need it somewhere in NC…. the closest places for us are Atlanta and Philly, and both are at least 7 1/2 hours away! Raleigh or Charlotte would be great.
… Hell, I'd even drive to Washington, DC, to see this! And that's 4 hours away!
Wednesday, November 4, 2009 3:31PM
Well with that average of $8,000 a screen I hope they learned their lesson and will just release the movie, make the fans happy, and make their money! 10 years was long enough!
Wednesday, November 4, 2009 5:49PM
I would love to see this come to Terre Haute, IN….we love the Saints too!
Wednesday, November 4, 2009 6:04PM
Kansas City, Please?!!??
This is outrageous. I'm still pissed that its not a complete nationwide release, and if i could afford it i would drive the 12 hours to dallas to see it… since that's as close as i'll get…
Wednesday, November 4, 2009 7:00PM
What the fuck about the fans of THE BOONDOCK SAINTS that can't see the sequal because we don't live in one of the states playing the fucking movie. I am from Cleveland, Ohio, and I loved the first Boondock Saints, when I found out it was not playing anywhere in Ohio, I WAS FUCKING PISSED. Fix that mistake now.
Wednesday, November 4, 2009 7:04PM
Why is BOONDOCK SAINTS 2: ALL SAINTS DAY, not being played in Ohio. Come on, I need to see this movie.
Wednesday, November 4, 2009 8:37PM
I AM GLAD I LIVE IN CHICAGO, CAN'T WAIT UNTIL THE 13TH

Wednesday, November 4, 2009 9:28PM
Buffalo! What the hell? They play the same movies over again with different people and titles till I'm ill, and this comes out and has limited viewings? Is this discrimination against the Irish??
Wednesday, November 4, 2009 10:27PM

Thursday, November 5, 2009 12:48AM
I never even saw a preview for this movie! When I found out it was being released in Oct I freaked. Now I find out its not even playing in VA! Who the hell makes a sequel to on of the most popular cult classics of all time and then decides not to promote it? Do the heads of the studio not like to make money? I don't know anyone who didn't like the original BDS. Mabey when they release it to DVD they can only make any two copies and wonder why their sales suck. You idiots blow!
Thursday, November 5, 2009 12:52AM
i live in fresno california please bring the movie here
Thursday, November 5, 2009 1:08AM
come on people!!!! the first one was the bomb!!!!!!!! must make it nationwide!!!!!!!!!!! what a crock-o-shit!!!!!
Thursday, November 5, 2009 2:12AM
The poor revenue must come from lack of advertisement. I had no idea the movie was released until today. Bring it to Buffalo, NY and the theaters will be packed. Everyone's Irish and loves the Saints.
Wednesday, November 4, 2009 6:53PM
I would like some close to virginia. Already saw it once, drove 5 hrs to Jersey to visit family and had to make a point to see the movie. But I’d love to see it again.
Thursday, November 5, 2009 4:26AM
I know plenty of people that are huge fans of this series, and for it to not be released nowhere near Nashville, Tn. is just wrong.
I think Sony has something to do with it, not being a major release!!
Wednesday, November 4, 2009 11:12PM
im from fargo north dakota and im just pissed that the closest place to see this bad ass movie is CHICAGO!!! fuck this shit … there is so many people here that are ALL pessed off about not being able to see it in the theater!!! … honestly who is going to want to watch it at home for the first time… BRING TO FARGO NORTH DAKOTA RIGHT MEOW!

Thursday, November 5, 2009 11:06AM
i have been in love with this movie for YEARS! i am so psyched it's coming to the midwest, somewhat. it's has not made it quite to bloomington, but i can definitely make a road trip with my son, nephew and friends to chicago to see it! i am already starting to feel a little sick where i can't be at work on nov 13th…
Thursday, November 5, 2009 8:13PM
Indianapolis…..one of the biggest cities in the nation…..
Thursday, November 5, 2009 11:22PM
DId they purposely open the movie in the most liberal cities in the U.S. in hopes that it did fail? Bring the movie to the midwest states like Colorado, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Montana
Friday, November 6, 2009 12:36AM
try 7 man we drove from nc to philly to c it and it was fn worth it
Friday, November 6, 2009 3:37AM
These exec guys need to put down their crack pipe and release it everywhere. I was pissed when I found out that it wasn't in my town. Then I grew even more pissed when I found out that it wasn't even remotely close to my town. I would've been happy to make the three hour drive to Indianapolis if it was there, but CHICAGO?!?!?!?!? That's a fuckin twelve hour drive. Between school and work I wouldn't be able to do that at all. Bring it to Indiana or else there will be hell to pay!
Thursday, November 5, 2009 10:55PM
From what I’ve seen since I’ve been following this movie’s production for a long time, the movie has actually been done for a while and there was some dispute regarding the release between the powers that be. Originally it was planned to go straight to DVD, but they were able to get it into theaters…but this is ridiculous. Such a limited release like this should’ve been straight to DVD anyways.
I personally don’t mind driving ~2 hours to Atlanta from Augusta, GA, but this really does suck.
Whoever is making these decisions didn’t think through this very well. Don’t they know that the Irish (or even fans of the Irish) are typically NOT sober and also borderline insane? They’re asking for a riot IMO.
Friday, November 6, 2009 7:24AM
Please bring it to miami i've been dying to see this movie for the longest time.
Friday, November 6, 2009 3:19PM
WHAT ABOUT TOLEDO OHIO EVERYONE I KNOW N TALK TO ABOUT WANTS TO SEE IT ACTUALLY HAVE A DATE SATURDAY AND WHAT ARE WE GONNA DO ? WATCH THE BOONDOCK SAINTS OF COURSE
HOPE IT RUNS WORLDWIDE SOON THAT WOULD BE FREAKIN AWESOME
Friday, November 6, 2009 5:10PM
The studio's squeamish that the first one is 10 yrs. old, and are afraid that it won't have as much of a following…..(fat chance..) I live in Virginia Beach, and just went looking for the Nationwide Petition at Care2.com, and signed the sucker!! And tell a few hundred friends to sign it as well, willya, LOL..
Friday, November 6, 2009 9:16PM
This is an absolute turd of a release WTF? I mean seriously Cirque du freak is still playing "barely".
Friday, November 6, 2009 9:54PM
We need it in VA!!!!!!!
Friday, November 6, 2009 10:08PM
You want to make revenue Sony? you should have released it nationwide on limited screens per city. But seeing you guys are chickenshits of losing money and not having faith with the fans that this movie will be good, its a damn shame! It seriously wouldnt hurt to atleast have it on one screen PER major city in each state!
Friday, November 6, 2009 10:26PM
FUCKIN COLORADO. what is wrong with these people
Friday, November 6, 2009 2:31PM

Probably Because Everytime I Mention The Movie "The Boondock Saints" Some Idiot Thins Im talking about the cartoon on Adult Swim The Boondocks, So Adults wont see it cause they think its a cartoon and parents wont see it cause they think its from adult swim!!! Saturday, November 7, 2009 9:37PM
Florida is waiting. Obviously, there are other places in the U.S. than just LA and NY!
Saturday, November 7, 2009 2:25PM
Y’know, there’s this adorable little hamlet, gently ensconced in the nook twixt two sleepy rivers, populated by wee folk who, with a wink and a smile, bear an everso slight resemblance to cuddly gnomes. Kindly folk, you know the type, who wear their heart on their sleeve, dependable to a fault, and never wanting for nothin’ but a smile and a fine ‘How do you do?” This soulful heartland village is not on the list of getting this movie…and the name of this place is…WASHINGTON DC. Ever heard of it? 3rd in the nation in traffic congestion, 2nd in the nation in filthy rich spoiled brat children of senators and congresspeople with loads of disposable income just flying out of their pockets, and 1st in the nation…Period! That’s right, its the Nations Capital and we can’t even beg, borrow, or steal the movie in our neck of the woods. We get to drive to Philadelphia? Are you kidding? Are you nuts?
Saturday, November 7, 2009 10:30PM
we want i in florida
Saturday, November 7, 2009 11:25PM

Sunday, November 8, 2009 3:13AM
Where are the Cleveland showings? The first movie didn't make money till it went to DVD but now they ignore their huge fan base and are surprised more people want to see it. Shocking.
Sunday, November 8, 2009 3:20PM
so here is an idea since your not making money by showin the film in 6 cities in the same state, why not show it in the CApital Seat of EVERY state, trust me if you give us that option, we will drive, hell we will even carport by droves to see this flick!! ohio is hurtin for this release and you are losing thousands of fans……………………If your not gonna show it in our state STOP ADVERTISING in our cities and release it straight to DVD so we can enjoy it too
Sunday, November 8, 2009 8:57PM
Please Release it in Ohio…I mean Columbus is the test market for the country.
Sunday, November 8, 2009 10:15PM
Their selection of "limited release" cities blows, they should be showing it at theaters near militay bases. Everywhere I was stationed, the whole unit would watch the original. They should be showing it near Lejune, Pendleton, Yuma, San Diego, Japan. They forgot the military demographic.
Sunday, November 8, 2009 10:19PM
Absolutly, The military in general love the first one. We took the damn thing to Iraq twice. SHOW IT NEAR MILITARY BASES!!!
Tuesday, November 10, 2009 7:08PM
Troy Duffy pissed off a lot of people in the industry. Such BS though. C'mon industry people if you can put out utter crap like Paranormal Activity then why not All Saints Day? Reno and Las Vegas want to see this film…
Tuesday, November 10, 2009 9:50PM
10 years and you dont release it in washington DC or fairfax county. farfax is the richest county in the USA wake up white people. wear is your head up your ass
Wednesday, November 11, 2009 1:59PM
you guys think your unlucky i live in ks.. the whole state and 4 states around me isn't playin the dam movie!!
Thursday, November 12, 2009 5:34AM
Why isn't it in Wisconsin? There are plenty of drunk, hunter/red-necks here that love a good shoot-em up movie! This might piss some of those people off and cause them to recreate the first movie in one of their small farming towns. Think of all the cows that would die!!! Please release the movie everywhere!
Friday, November 13, 2009 4:15AM
Actually i live in ND, its one of the most popular movies in the region…
Friday, November 13, 2009 4:16AM
Ohio has 35 electoral votes… Give us Boondocks in Cleveland or Toledo..
Friday, November 13, 2009 7:28AM
I want to see this movie so bad, but if I do not get to see it in theaters then screw it. I dont need to see it that bad. All I am trying to do is PAY money for some entertainment but sony doesnt want to make money. Check the internet. Lots of people want to see this movie. WTF!!!! I live in Florida. It’s not some remote location or anything. I looked it up and the closest it is playing is in Georgia. Seriously it’s in Georgia but not in the bigger states like Florida or Texas. FU sony. If I do not get to see this in theatres soon I will boycott sony forever!!!!!
Friday, November 13, 2009 7:39PM
just because something is being released in NYC doesn't mean it's accesible to the rest of the state . . . everyone in buffalo wants this movie and I'm sorry but we can't all make a 7 hour drive to see it!
Sunday, November 15, 2009 7:55PM
Wow! is all I can say. America the land of the free is slowly becoming the land of the lazy. Well let's get off our butts and show HOLLYWOOD that they SUCK and boycott movie theatre's until we get Boondock Saints II – Send an e-mail to your local theatres – yes however many that is 2, 3, 4 etc. that you will NOT be a customer until Boondock Saints II shows in the theatre line-up. Hit em' where it hurts folks. No more whining let's ACT.
Monday, November 16, 2009 1:33AM

Monday, November 16, 2009 9:09AM
Albuquerque, NM would be nice too, the nearest location to me is Dallas and i know of at least 50 people and all their friends who have been dying to see this movie and we’re not exactly going to drive all the way the hell out to Dallas, All these cities that people are saying its not playing and it should, if it were playing there guaranteed it would bring in quite a profit, especially if they released it to ALL those cities, not just a select few!
Monday, November 16, 2009 6:38PM
Bring it to new brunswick Canada
Monday, November 16, 2009 7:45PM

Tuesday, November 17, 2009 7:01AM
No kidding, I live in north central north dakota, I have been waiting for this movie for a long time, now I find it wont even be out around here. No wonder movies get pirated, no legal way to watch them.
Wednesday, November 18, 2009 6:21AM
send the movie to the Buffalo,NY area or I and about 200 people I know personally will find it online. we want to support the film and its cast if possible but if it doesn't come here we are watching pirated versions. that simple!
Wednesday, November 18, 2009 5:29PM
Odessa, TX please. I know so many people who have been awaiting this sequel. And I was counting down the days till I realized my hopes in seeing it were slim to none. Or hurry up and make it to DVD!
Wednesday, November 18, 2009 12:12PM
I thought for sure they would at least put it in one theatre in Las Vegas! This is ridiculous…
Wednesday, November 18, 2009 10:38PM
Not released in cleveland? No problem. I woulda been happy to pay to see it. But I’m not driving all over creation to see it so I’ll just download a bootleg. Good thinking marketing team!

Thursday, November 19, 2009 11:32PM

Dont Force people to PIRATE the movie!! gahhhh.. come to little ol' Oregon
Thursday, November 19, 2009 9:29PM
i live in Miami, one of the largest cities in the country and they cant even release it here?! not to mention i second everyone's opinion that it should be released everywhere anyway! maybe they had such a poor attendance b/c too little advertising (i havent seen a single trailer for it…though it could be bc its not being released here). sad sad.
Friday, November 20, 2009 4:00PM
i say hooah. it's no where near fort lost in the woods….
Friday, November 20, 2009 11:49PM
Indiana needs some god damn saints action. I don't want to drive all the way to frikin Chicawgo!!
Saturday, November 21, 2009 12:40PM
What about the rest of the world Troy Duffy? You're just throwing fuel to the already sterling reputation Americans have…what is this "rest of the world" you talk about? It's the place where you'd probably get more support and finances than if you just screened the movie in your backyard…it's called logic, not difficult.
Saturday, November 21, 2009 2:56PM

Sunday, November 29, 2009 12:04AM
Yes.. Texas is larger than California. But Alaska is larger than Texas. But you won't see then put anything up in Alaska before California. It's about the population. Not about how big of a state you are. And yes, Houston AND Dallas are in Texas. They won't be putting a movie in "Hole-In-The-Wall, Texas" Get used to living in the city if you want movies before the rest of the country pumpkins. I've had to.
Thursday, December 3, 2009 3:54PM
Anyone know how LONG it was going to be out for? Was it just a month? Because I don't even see it in New York anymore…
Thursday, December 3, 2009 6:34PM

DENVER! main fucking city in the USA man. Denver would be really nice.
PLEASEEE make it happen guys
Tuesday, January 19, 2010 3:44PM
What sucks is it played in my town of Sterling, IL with a population of 150,000. I didnt even know i was ill i seen it onth wall, going to work. It was gone the next day. I love the First one, have two copies. The releae of this movie was not thought out well at all. And alot of fans including myself missed out on a long awaited coming. And the fact that it is out with no current DVD release date just nfuriates the fans evenmore. The reason this movie didnt make money is because the first movie wasn't known by alot of people. So in turn the sequel made America in general say HUH!. However. Lets have a release date. Its been too long lready. And true fans will not obtain a bootleg copy. They would rather have the real thing and support the Saints.
Monday, February 22, 2010 8:26PM
Man everyone i know loved the first one…hell its in my dvd player in my room because i watch it so mucj bring that movie to tulsa, oklahoma city, stillwater, ponca city…..anywhere in Oklahoma….
Monday, March 15, 2010 5:48AM
Its 3 months later and I just saw a bootleg copy of the movie yesterday, did not even know that there was a siqual existed. What a kick ass movie thou!! It did not even come to my country and I was not about to fly 13 000 miles to go see it in NYC.
