how to train your dragon trailer

A theatrical trailer has been released for the DreamWorks animated feature, How to Train Your Dragon. Following in the footsteps of Kung Fu Panda, and the highly popular Shrek franchise, this film centers on an unlikely hero and his journey. It features the voice talent of Jay Baruchel as the lead character Hiccup, an aspiring dragon fighter. How to Train Your Dragon is directed by Christopher Sanders and Dean DeBlois, and co-stars Gerard Butler, America Ferrera, Craig Ferguson, Jonah Hill, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, and Kristen Wiig. The majority of the actors lending their voices to the film are experienced in comedy, but it makes you wonder if that will transfer over into the world of animation. Sometimes “nameactors can serve as a distraction in a film, but we won’t be able to see if that’s the case until How to Train Your Dragon debuts in theaters next spring, on March 26, 2010.

As previously stated, the creators of Shrek and Kung Fu Panda had a hand in this film, which might sound like an open endorsement for many. The first Shrek was great but as the franchise continued on it began to lose its spark. Let’s hope this film maintains some originality and brings something amazing to the screen.
