I am "jane-public" and I am getting really tired of the personal questions. No one wants to answer them and it's really none of our business.It's a wasted opportunity to ask a good question. Now, I happen to adore George Clooney and would love to know, but lets get real, when an acquaintance at work asks us a personal question, we don't tell them. It's none of their business, so why would a celebrity divulge anything personal either. Just because someone chooses a public career does not give us the right to pry into their personal life. Have we reached such a low point in society that a journalist can no longer think of a decent or clever work related question? What if we turned the tables and asked the journalist the same personal question? Or followed their wife/husband/mother/child, took pictures and poked into their personal life? I think we have crossed the line of decency, who can believe anything anymore. I am tired ot watching and listening to garbage. Bring back good journalism!! Bring back the era of Sofia Loren and Cary Grant when journalists were respectful, reported truth and facts and gave us something good to read—not the garbage that goes on today.

Completely agree! Being a journalist myself, I can't understand why they are allowed to be part of anything like that. No wonder why George Clooney has decided to give less and less interviews now with so-called journalists like those ones…

Being apart for press conferences myself and seeing this type of questioning first hand (in Australia, it's a worldwide thing) it is really baffling why they even allow some journos in from some outlets. If you are the PR company and you invite (they invite these journo's by he way) and don't except them to do this stupid shit and piss off the guest, then you have rocks in your head. It demeans nearly everyone involved and the PR company should be ashamed of themselves and the Journo's should be shot for being assholes.
