Christopher Nolan‘s Inception is one of the best kept secrets in Hollywood right now. With a main cast filled with almost 10 Academy Award nominees and winners it’s hard not to wonder about the mysterious plot. For the most part everyone has been keeping their mouth shut about any details, but Sir Michael Caine divulged some news to Empire about him and Leonardo DiCaprio’s character.

According to the veteran actor, he will play a science professor who comes to DiCaprio’s aid.

“I play a professor who’s teaching a guy science,” Sir Michael told of us of his fourth Nolan collaboration. “It’s Leonardo DiCaprio. He’s going off to do a science project and he speaks to me before he goes.”

He wouldn’t elaborate beyond that, but he did say that Leo was a great guy to work with. The Nolan camp aren’t playing any games when it comes to the secrecy of the Inception plot. Caine stated, “They wouldn’t let me read the script. I only got my page. They’re all very secretive!”

Since he said “his page,” it sounds like his role will be more of a cameo than anything else. Whenever an older, paternal figure is needed, Caine must be Nolan’s go to guy.
