Where’s Laura Dern been hiding? She’s been laying low for the past few years so her latest gig, has been a long time coming. The actress will be back on the mainstream bandwagon with a role in the second sequel in the Meet the Parents franchise entitled, Little Fockers. According to THR, Dern has been cast in a significant role where the actress will interact with the youngest members of the Focker clan.
In Little Fockers, Dern will play the headmistress of the elementary school that the Fockers’ kids attend. As of yet, there’s no word on how many Focker offspring will be featured in the film. The studio continues to keep the kid count under wraps. I hope it’s not an over the top amount like Cheaper by the Dozen, or Yours, Mine, and Ours.
Little Fockers will be directed by Paul Weitz and is scheduled for release sometime next year. Oddly enough, this follows the earlier casting of Jessica Alba, who recently joined the film as well (shifty eyes). There should be an interesting acting dynamic between her, Dern, and Blythe Danner.
