David Tennant Joins Pegg in Burke and Hare

Simon Pegg will be joined by a famous doctor for his next film Burke & Hare. David Tennant best known for his tenure on the popular sci-fi series Doctor Who, has been cast as Pegg’s partner in crime for the project according to Twitch.
Burke & Hare “were a pair of Irish immigrant murderers in early 19th century Edinburgh who sold on the corpses of their victims to the local medical college.” There was plenty of speculation regarding who would play the second half of this deadly duo. Many people including myself thought Nick Frost would be up to the challenge, but apparently Landis had someone else in mind.
Even though I enjoy David Tennant, I’ll always wonder what could have been with Frost. The actor does have a huge fan following, and is considered everyone’s favorite Doctor Who incarnate, so I’m sure a lot of people will be pleased with his involvement. Burke & Hare will be directed by John Landis, and is a remake of the 1971 film of the same name, about two men who swipe bodies for science.
