Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Will be Huge!
By Krystal Clark
Now that Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince has come and gone, we can officially say the end is near. The last Potter installments will be entitled the Deathly Hallows Part 1 & 2, and will be released within a year of each other. Over at Rotten Tomatoes, they spoke to one of the stars of the film, Helen McCory about the pending finale, and according to her it’s going to be epic!
McCory stars in the Harry Potter series as Narcissa Malfoy, the mother of the troubled character Draco. According to the actress, the finale for the franchise will give a major payoff to the fans who’ve been following the films from the very beginning.
“I think up to now, every director who has done a Harry Potter has had to do a dot-dot-dot. They know it’s a sequel, they know there’s another film coming out. But with this one, we can actually make everything have an epic ending. It’s going to be final. And it’s going to be huge. There doesn’t have to be any more pauses or dot-dot-dots. So they’re letting out all the stops with this one.”
She also went on to speak about the maturation of the characters, especially Harry. He’s definitely not a little boy anymore, and he’ll really step up in the last two films.
“I think with these next two films, he’s looking at this character becoming a man. And that again, is quite an epic story. That’s Ulysses. Rites of passage.”
Watch out die hard Potter fans, Harry’s a man with a plan, not a boy with a toy. Don’t let those glasses fool you, he means business! Part 1 of the Deathly Hallows is scheduled for release on November 19, 2010, and Part 2 for July 15, 2011.
Are you excited about the final installments of Harry Potter? Do you think there will be an epic payoff?

I. personally, believe that the final two films are going to be awesome! I had indicated to friends, who also agreed, and prior to WB announcing the last book in the epic series would be made into two movies, that the only way to do justice to the final book–and the movies– was to create two films as the story was so “meaty” there would be no way to do just a single film. I know many HP fans agree and we’ll be waiting on pins and needles until the flms are released.

I'd like to know how faithful to the book the films will be. Almost every character (including the different defense against the dark arts teachers) make an apearance. Will they include Dobby and the Wandmaker? What about Professor Snape? How much of his flashbacks will they include? Also if they do conclude with the Nineteen Years Later scene, will they age the actors up with makeup, or get adults to play them?

I have throughtly enjoyed all six of the movies so far. Like you, I know it will be extremely hard to wait another year for the start of the last movies. All I can hope for is that it isn't too terribly long a wait for the DVD.
