Dennis Hopper Rushed to the Hospital

Two-time Academy Award nominee Dennis Hopper was rushed to a New York Hospital this morning while promoting the new season of his TV series, Crash. According to Entertainment Tonight the legendary actor was transported to the hospital’s emergency room via ambulance for what was described as an undisclosed illness.

The story is still developing, but at the moment the latest update comes from Hopper’s publicist Sheila Feren. She states that the actor was rushed to the hospital “after developing flu-like symptoms.” ET said the actor was seen “wearing an oxygen mask with numerous tubes visible” upon his arrival at the hospital.
Hopper’s career spans over 50 years and includes memorable performances in film such as Easy Rider, Hoosiers, Speed and Apocalypse Now. In his earlier years he got to work opposite James Dean in not one, but two films, Rebel Without a Cause and Giant.
