VOTD: Pee Wee Herman on Leno
By Mali Elfman
Leno – “You got married? Pee Wee – “Oh no. It’s my abstinence ring.”
What a brave soul. Actor Paul Reuben, better known as Pee-wee Herman, appeared on “The Jay Leno Show” Tuesday night to promote his new stage show based off his popular kids TV show “Pee-wee’s Playhouse” and to show off his new “abstinence ring.” Yikes. As much as he and many of us wish that his little indecent at an adult theater in 1991 would just disappear, it won’t. I guess he’s come to terms with it and is even willing to joke about it in costume on TV.
Go Reuben! Check out the video below…
You can see his return to the spotlight as Pee-Wee Herman, this November with his limited run Pee-Wee Herman stage show in Los Angeles.
What do you think about Reuben joking about his past “incident”?

We are all to will to watch as current stars and show contestants make out on television and forget Hilton's little stunt was such a rage but this talk of how he will never get past his reputation is silly! I have always enjoyed his humor and antics and am now glad to see he is coming back! I still have a Oee Wee Herman doll stashed away in a box to pass on someday! His antics are not for everyone, but the same goes for those who perfer Leno over Letterman! You go Pee Wee

The key words are "his past". If he can get over it and move on…so should the world!

Pee wees play house was one of my favorite shows. The world should get over his "movie incident" -it happened and it can't "unhappen"

Other stars, such as Pam Anderson, Paris Hilton, Rob Lowe, and Charley Sheen have had their sexual antics exposed, so I feel let Pee Wee re-do his life. I hope he does well.

You all are NBC paid commentators. Try originality next time, your comments appear forced and manufactured, which they are.

Pee Wee's Big Adventure is a classic movie and one of the all time funniest movies ever. Everyone makes mistakes – he never killed a dog or bit off someone's ear.

well nothing forced about my opinion…..PeeWee Herman has been missed and come on,.. people acted like he was the only man to have ever done the nasty…so to speak….. in of all places an adult movie theatre…like that never happens….right! You go PeeWee we missed you…..past is past…..Glad to see you back!!!!!

I like him, He's been in a lot of TV and movies (Pushing Daisies), but out of costume he's familiar but you can't quite place it. Glad he's back, and I wish he would do more for kids, it was fun for me, I grew up on him.

I liked Pee Wee as well. Unfortunately his show was aimed at kids and his unfortunate act was aimed at…well…the seat in front of him. None of the MANY others were paid to entertain and educate kids. That being said, I wish him nothing but the best and would like to see him come back with something for adults. I'd be right in line to watch it – with my kids, who are now adults, who watched him years ago.
