If you’re a regular reader of this site, you know how my views on the ever expanding Saw franchise. I have tried to be objective with my reports on the latest installment of the series Saw VI, but I can’t take it anymore. Over at ShockTillYouDrop, they’ve posted two new photos from the upcoming film, and one of them features the original villain Jigsaw as played by Tobin Bell. How the hell is that possible? Why is he still around?

Didn’t Jigsaw die in the third Saw? I even let his postmortem activities in the fourth film slide due to his previous preparation, but this is ridiculous. I stopped watching after that point so I’m not sure how the writers are explaining his heavy influence from beyond the grave. Jigsaw died from cancer, yet he’s sitting in the above photo making threats? Is this a flashback? Is that how they’ve been keeping Tobin Bell involved with the series?

What do you think of the latest photos from Saw VI? Can you explain to me how Tobin Bell is still around?

    The first Saw Trilogy was about Jigsaw, and could have ended there. But the trilogy the two new writers pitched is about the consequence of Jigsaws philosophy- and possibly its uncontrollable outbreak.

    Saw V was showing how Hoffman was also one of Jigsaw's handpicked apprentices, mainly because he had an inside track and a darkside. They're saying now Saw VI puts a bow on all of this, letting us know if Hoffman carries the true message of Jigsaw's work; or he fails, and perhaps copycats spring out and all hell breaks loose for humanity in the form of "immoral" Jigsaw-wannabes.

    To Jigsaw, keeping the message as part of the punishment was moral and just; without it, you are just a murder. Unfortunantely, his work is more likely to conceive murderers than followers.
