Primetime Emmy Winners 2009
By Krystal Clark
We know our site isn’t a mecca for television watchers, but so many film stars cross over to the small screen, that it’s only fair we cover it. Alec Baldwin, Toni Collette, Glenn Close, and Holly Hunter are just a few actors who have made the jump to television and have had immense success while doing it. Back in July we posted the list of Emmy nominees, and conducted a poll with our readers asking who they thought should win in each category.
Find out if your Emmy predictions came true by viewing the full list of winners…

As you can see, there were a lot of repeat winners. I’ve seen Alec Baldwin win on so many times on various shows that I forget which one I’m watching. The Emmys, Golden Globes, SAG, he gets them all! Bryan Cranston and Mad Men weren’t exactly surprises in their respective categories either. There was a lot of the same old, same old last night. I wasn’t on the edge of my seat during the awards, that’s for sure.
The fact that Toni Collette won over Tina Fey was a bit refreshing in the Actress in a Comedy series category. Another pleasant surprise was Michael Emerson‘s win for Lost. He was amazing as Ben this year, and it would have been criminal if he’d lucked out. The biggest questionable win had to go to Justin Timberlake. I can’t believe this guy has multiple Grammys and two Emmy Awards. One for this year, and another for 2007′s “D*ck in a Box” in the Outstanding Music and Lyrics category. What’s the world coming to?
What did you think about this year’s Emmy winners? Who do you think was over looked?

I'm shocked that NCIS didn't get a nod, or Criminal Minds, Law & Order (any of them), there were a plethora of shows not even mentioned. Considering what won is a sad commentary on todays times.
