Looking for a good anti-film? It’s a documentary about all the hardships of trying to make a film Official Rejection. And don’t be scared off by the word “documentary,” and thinking that you’re going to follow around someone you’ve never heard of. The filmmakers involved are some of the biggest names of the business; Kevin Smith, Bryan Singer, Andy Dick, Jenna Fischer, Traci Lords, Jennifer Tilly and Danny Trejo all on screen doing interviews about how hard it is, even for them to get a film to reach an audience.

The film is about the above mentioned filmmakers and more having to work their way through the trenches of the festival circuit over a 12-month period taking “a lighthearted but realistic look at the politics, pitfalls, costs and tolls taken on life at the independent film festivals… It also explore the difficulties the major festivals face in trying to continue to foster new talent in an atmosphere of ever-increasing commercialism while the smaller fests struggle to distinguish themselves without access to adequate media or distributor attention.”

This “little documentary that could” has already played nine festivals since March and will be screened at 10 more before the end of the year. Check out the trailer where you can see it below…
