Scarlett Johansson aka Black Widow from the upcoming sequel Iron Man 2, is mixing a bit of promotion with charity. According to People, the actress is auctioning off a pair of tickets to attend next year’s Iron Man 2 premiere. The contest is a joint effort between Johansson and the charitable organization Oxfam America, for which she’s a national ambassador. If you’re interested in placing a bid on the passes for the film, this story’s for you.
The auction for the Iron Man 2 premiere tickets will officially begin on Thursday at 10 p.m. ET and will run until September 24th. A hundred percent of the proceeds made from this event will go directly to Oxfam America. Oxfam is an organization long dedicated to finding lasting solutions to poverty, hunger, and social injustice around the world. To throw your hat into the ring for the tickets visit eBay.com/Oxfam.
Here’s what Johansson had to say about the foundation and her involvement with their cause.
“I’m so thrilled to be a part of this eBay charity opportunity, again raising funds for Oxfam.Oxfam is an incredibly worthy organization that I’m most passionate about.”
The winning bidder and his or her guest will attend the Los Angeles premiere and receive a complimentary session at the Cristophe Salon in Beverly Hills to prepare for the red carpet. This sounds like a sweet deal. If you can cough up the dough, this would be a great way to treat yourself and help those less fortunate in the process.
