Earlier this year we told you about the indie drama Stone, that reunites Robert De Niro and Edward Norton. It seems like just yesterday we were reporting on their casting, and now a trailer has already been released. Stone is directed by John Curran, and centers on a correctional officer who’s seduced by the wife of a convicted arsonist (Norton) up for parole. Let me preface this trailer by saying it is not safe for work.
Be careful, because plenty of nudity and foul language will ensue…
We’ve had to take the trailer down at the production companies request.
Just when I thought Milla Jovavich was done being naked all the time, I see this trailer. I was so proud of her for not stripping down in Perfect Getaway. Is it just me or does this film look like a parody of something I’ve seen before. I never thought I’d see the day when Edward Norton wore cornrows, and actually look decent with them.
De Niro reminds me of the character Nick Nolte and Gregory Peck played in Cape Fear, which is ironic considering he played the bad guy in the nineties remake. Even though the talent is through the roof in Stone I’m not sure if it’s worth my money. I’ll need more than just random flashes of violence and nudity to get me interested.
What do you think about the trailer for Stone?
