Disney D23: Alice in Wonderland Photos

Today at the Anaheim Convention Center in California, Disney Studios is hosting the D23 Exposition event. It’s taking place right across the street from Disneyland, and will be the place to hear all the latest news on the studio’s upcoming film roster. One of the features that will be discussed at the event is Tim Burton‘s Alice in Wonderland. They’ve set up an oversized display featuring various characters and props from the film.
Take a look at the White Hare, March Hare, and the Mad Hatter…
As you can see from the above photos, the darkness that Burton is bringing to his version of the film is a welcomed change of pace. The original story of Alice in Wonderland isn’t as rated G as some people may like to think. The details in these props are pretty dead on to what I imagined they would look like.
The film stars Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, Helena Bonham Carter as The Red Queen, Anne Hathaway as The White Queen, and Mia Wasikowska as Alice. Alice in Wonderland is scheduled to hit theaters on March 5, 2010.
