Kevin Smith to do 24-Hour Labor Day Tweet-A-Thon

“Someone asked what my training regiment is gonna be, and I told them I’ve already stockpiled lots of Count Chocula.”

Kevin Smith, the self-confused “‘lazy fat-ass who’d rather stare at a screen than better himself” has announced (and sent out a press release that I found over on /Film) that this year, on Labor Day, he will be doing a 24-Hour Tweet-A-Thon to promote his latest book, “Shootin’ the Sh*t With Kevin Smith” as well as his upcoming 15 city tour, which starts later this month.

For those of you who haven’t seen Smith speak before (check out some of the videos from Comic-Con) he’s an evil genius. If you’re bored at a party or sitting around on Labor Day, I highly advice you to stock pile some crappy food yourself and join the Tweeting.

Here are some of the details:

Filmmaker Kevin Smith will conduct a 24 hour online Q&A at Twitter for an uninterrupted 24 hours when he begins communicating with some of his 1.25 million Twitter followers on the morning of Labor Day, Monday, September 7.

The 24 hours will start from the posting of that morning’s first Tweet.

I like how he doesn’t give a time. He’s basically saying “we’ll start when I’m good and ready! Could be 7am, could be noon. Fuck you for asking.”

When asked about why he was doing this he said:

“This is not news at all. In fact, it’s kinda stupid. But I wanna see if I can do it. I’ve been training for this my whole life, simply by being a lazy fat-ass who’d rather stare at a screen than better himself with a brisk constitutional.”
