The upcoming book adaptation, The Social Network may have landed a few good men. This morning, rumors began circulating that the David Fincher film had found three young actors to star as its leads. Over at ScriptShadow, (a Facebook page itself), they’re reporting that Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield, and Justin Timberlake have all signed on to the project.
According to the site, Jesse Eisenberg and Andrew Garfield will play Facebook co-founders Mark Zuckerberg and Eduardo Saverin, while Justin Timberlake will star as Sean Parker, the co-founder of Napster.
The script for The Social Network was penned by award winning writer Aaron Sorkin, who has been working on the project for over a year. Recently, the film made a major production move when Oscar nominee David Fincher officially signed on to direct.
The casting of Eisenberg, Garfield, and Timberlake has yet to be confirmed by an official source. At the moment it’s considered speculation, but this is a random group of actors to simply throw together. I can understand Eisenberg being cast, but everyone else is up for debate. I don’t personally think Justin Timberlake is a good actor. I thought he did a decent job in Black Snake Moan, but that was it. He can work wonders with comedy, but I can’t take him seriously in dramatic roles. What do you think?
