Bradley Cooper Talks Green Lantern, A-Team, Mr. T
By Krystal Clark
While out promoting his comedy All About Steve, Bradley Cooper stopped by The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien. He spoke about his involvement in the upcoming tent pole projects The A-Team, and Green Lantern. Cooper was one of three actors in the running to star as the DC comic hero, but he didn’t get the part.
What could have possibly gone wrong? Watch the interview to find out…
According to Cooper, when auditioning for the role of the Green Lantern, he couldn’t stop doing Christian Bale‘s Batman voice. The actor states that the director asked him if he could do his lines “regular,” but he kept slipping back to Bats! After watching the playback of his performance he claims it looked like an SNL sketch and he knew he wasn’t getting the part.
One part the actor did get was the role of “Faceman” aka Lt. Templeton Peck in the Joe Carnahan adaptation of the popular TV show The A-Team. According to him, the actors have been going through a lot of weapons training, and once again the director noticed a little habit he couldn’t control. He likes to make sound effects while playing with guns!
Did you catch that bit where he was talking about Mr. T. and B.A. Baracus? He pretty much confirmed that they’ve cast the character even though an official announcement hasn’t been made. So many people have been rumored for that part with Common and championship MMA fighter Quentin “Rampage” Jackson at the top of the list. I’ll be watching this movie more closely now that I know an announcement is imminent.
What do you think of Bradley’s interview? Who do you think has been cast as Mr. T?

There will only ever be one Mr. T but I'm warming to 'Rampage' being BA. I just got Mr. T as a voice on my GPS. I got it from a site called Navtones, or nav-tones. Anyway, they had an interesting blog post about Mr. T and 'Rampage.' Go have a read and get ready to be supprised how much they have in common. Oh, if you like Mt. T you should really get the Navtones Mr. T voice too. I'm loving it!
