Deborah Ann Woll is finding plenty of work during her off time from filming HBO’s True Blood. The actress along with Saving Grace alum Bokeem Woodbine have joined the cast of Little Murder. According to THR, the actors will team up with current stars Josh Lucas, Terrence Howard, and Lake Bell for the drama.

Little Murder is a New Orleans based supernatural thriller. The film “centers on a disgraced New Orleans police detective trying to find the killer of a beautiful cellist — with the girl’s ghost assisting.” It’s a post-Hurricane Katrina mystery written by Gerald Di Pego (The Forgotten) and Justin Di Pego. The film is directed by Peter Antonijevic.

Two other television veterans that have signed on for the film are Peter Jason and Noah Bean. Jason has appeared on Mad Men and Deadwood, while Bean is best known for his recurring role on Damages. I heard some scarce info about Little Murder last year, but nothing concrete in terms of its casting. Now that I know the actors involved, I’m a little more interested in the script.

I’m very surprised to see Bokeem Woodbine pop up in a feature film, because even though he’s a talented actor, blocks of time go by between his feature projects. I wonder how much of that is intentional or put upon by Hollywood?
