An official promo image has surfaced of Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig in the play A Steady Rain. The two actors are signed on to star in the Broadway production, opposite one another this fall. If you think alone they’re good looking, try to contain yourself when their both doing the infamous “Blue Steel” stare into the camera. Don’t take my word for it, view the photo below.
God, this picture scares me, but in a good way! As you can see Craig is sporting the ’70′s pornostache, while Jackman is as handsome as ever. Craig is a veteran of the London stage, but A Steady Rain will be his Broadway debut. Jackman previously won a Tony Award in 2004 for his appearance in The Boy From Oz, a musical based on the life of singer-songwriter Peter Allen.
A Steady Rain centers on Denny (Jackman), a patrolman with a racist streak and violent temper. And Joey (Craig), a recovering alcoholic and gentler soul who may not be as docile as he first seems. It looks like Jackman will be playing a real a-hole. I can’t wait to see the reviews! Performances of American playwright Keith Huff’s two-man play begin September 10th with an official opening set for September 29th.
